Our Story: From Group Chat to App
Sarah, Jess and Tom. Tired parents who learnt the hard way which of their local cafes had change tables… and those that didn’t.
We started talking to other tired parents who gave us their favourite places to take their kids. So, we started a group chat. Places where your pram actually fits through the front door, cafes with high chairs and babycinos, pubs where we could all have dinner, a beer and watch the kids play.
Pram About Town is that group chat. Tidied up and open to everyone. No gatekeeping here. Just tired parents helping out other tired parents.

CTO- •Built the first version overnight with AI agents doing the heavy lifting while a toddler slept on his shoulder

- •Never leaves home without checking the radar, boot space, and the emergency snack stash
Our why
Because everyone deserves to leave the house with confidence. Whether you're a new parent navigating your first outing with your baby, a grandparent taking the grandkids out for the day, or a family travelling to a new city. You should be able to enjoy your outing with your kids without the unnecessary stress.
Because heaps of great family-friendly venues exist. They’re just hard to find. Change tables, feeding rooms, pram-accessible entries, and highchairs aren’t new. Yet finding a family-friendly cafe halfway between you and your friend’s house is impossible. Let alone figuring out where to park, where to feed your bub, or change that dreaded nappy once you’re already there. We've made it our job to find that nitty-gritty info and put it on a map.
Because it should be easy for EVERYONE who loves and looks after little ones. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, au-pairs - Pram About Town is for all of you. Whether you use it every day or once a year, we hope we can help lighten the load and allow you less time working out the where and how and more time enjoying the who and the what.
How you can help
We started in our local area in inner Melbourne. Then, with the support of our family and friends, we expanded across Australia. We’re now sharing with more and more people who want to help grow our database.
